About Me and Storied
I’m Michael Margolis, founder and CEO of Storied, a narrative infrastructure company. We build the language that complex, technical companies run on. Especially with organizations that operate at a planetary or ambitious scale.
Language is the new code. Since 2002, the narratives we’ve built have moved $11.2B of corporate investment and $96M in early-stage rounds. I spent 7 years forward-deployed inside Facebook, building narratives for products used by billions of people. Today I’m an Operating Partner, Narrative at Veridical VC, and I advise private equity and philanthropic venture funds. I have a degree in cultural anthropology, and started my career in the nonprofit sector working on the Digital Divide. This work is deeply informed by my study and practice of Buddhism and various wisdom traditions.
I live in Los Angeles. I’m an out-of-shape husband and dad to two young daughters, ages 3 years and 18 months. If you know me, you know that I eat more chocolate than the average human…I used to even traffic in kilos of it.
